Dear Friends

We hope this letter finds you happy and in good health. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Sid and Nancy celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and Stefan graduated from high school. We wanted to take the boys to the place where we were married, near Stuttgart, Germany. First we traveled to England. The picture of us on this letter is in Lower Slaughter, England in the Cotswold.

We visited Sid’s cousins and their families (Carl & Ann Gross and Dennis & Yvonne Gross). They were so helpful in planning our trip and putting up with us during our stay in England. Then we traveled to Germany. There we visited the Black Forest, Strasbourg (fr), Stuttgart, Munich and the Alps. Nancy was happy to visit with Kerstin Frenchner and her family. Kerstin lived with Nancy’s family for a year (1965). Kerstin helped us locate the apartment we rented for the week in the Black Forest area of Germany. We had so many things to see and be thankful for as a family. We made an excursion to see the Austrian Alps, one of the highlights of the trip. We arrived back home safe and sound, which was the most important of all.

Stefan is majoring in Illustration at Grand Valley State University, Allendale. He was involved with the marching band at GVSU and loves college. Karl played football this Fall and will be playing lacrosse again this Spring. Peter loves both soccer and lacrosse and is now taller than Sid.

The kids are growing up too fast, or their parents are getting older too fast. Nancy is working part time as a Technology Parapro at Breton Downs Elementary. They are remodeling her school, so next year they will have two computer labs and more computer technology to be learned. Sid is still working for the Kent ISD and teaching a course or two at GVSU

Peace. Enjoy life and spread happiness to all you meet.
